Bangladesh Islami Chhatri Sangstha (Islamic Female Students Organisation) is the biggest and most disciplined Islamic student organisation for female students in Bangladesh. Although not very active in outdoor activities, Chhatri Sangstha has successfully devoted itself in building a well educated group of women rich with Islamic and social values.

Chhatri Sangstha has a mission "To satisfy Allah through developing the female students of Bangladesh as ideal Muslim women by following the Quran and the Sunnah and discharging proper duties to Islam so that peace can be achieved in the world and salvation can be obtained in the afterworld".

Chhatri Sangstha is a cadre-based organisation. When someone joins the organisation, she is considered a 'Primary Member'. When a primary member attends the meetings regularly, records her activities in a prescribed form and regularly contributes to the fund of the organisation, she is considered a 'Karmi' meaning worker. When a 'Karmi' meets a predefined standard of knowledge, rituals, moral status and leadership quality, she is promoted to an 'Advanced Karmi'. When an 'Advanced Karmi' is able to meet a predefined higher standard of knowledge, rituals, moral status and leadership quality, she is promoted to a 'Shadashawa' meaning member.

The organisation carries out its activities based on the following three-points programme:

1. Dissemination of accurate knowledge of Islam among female students;
2. Organising Islam-loving female students and train them on how to lead a life with high moral standard; and
3. Taking steps in establishing a respectful position for the female students and in solving their problems.
